Our fine speaker in the video declares that "the Quran is not a book of science," that the creation of the first man described in the Quran is merely a "metaphor," and that the Quran "should not be taken literally." But if this is the case we are left to wonder about all the other parts in the Quran that "should not be taken literally." More importantly, why did the omniscient god of the universe refrain from telling Muhammad about evolution, deciding instead that it was more important to inform him that the bee eats of all fruits (Quran 16:68-69)?
